About the Author
A. Janae Diminick is a fiction writer with an adoration for monsters, horror, and the undead. She gravitates towards creating character driven post-apocalyptic novels layered with high emotional tension and morally gray relationships. In much of her work, she uses intimacy as a psychological battlefield and isn’t shy about challenging conventional expectations. Not a fan of stories that end happily ever after, her writing often leans into darker, more unsettling resolutions.

- First saw her future as an author in Illinois
- Graduated high school in New York

A. Janae – the WOMAN
- Writes dark novels, but bakes sweet treats
- Dunkin’ addicted – she’s a golden member
- Knows what it feels like to be in a coma
- Would not survive in a zombie apocalypse
- Was so terrified of public speaking that in the 9th grade her teacher told her the only way she could get out of performing in the school play was if she wrote it…so she did.
FAQs
I don’t see the signup for a newsletter. Do you have one?
Not at this time. I’m new to this, doing it all on my own, and have A LOT of children who take up any free time I have when I’m not writing. I hope to have a newsletter soon!
Will Dead & Sick have any ARC readers?
I have had a few Beta and proofreaders, but am not currently looking for ARC readers. With Amazon, Goodreads, and Ingram cracking down on ratings/reviews, I am honestly terrified of doing anything with ARCs.
What is the publishing timeline for the series?
The series includes nine books told by the FMC, with an adjacent book told by one of the MMCs. The goal is to publish three books in 2026, two books in 2027, and one book following every subsequent year until the conclusion of the series.
